B-EAR  /  OPEN-EAR BLUETOOTH HEADSET

On any site,
your natural voice.

  • Your voice comes back, so no need to raise it.
  • Your voice is the control, so no need to stop your hands.
  • Two devices connect, so no need to take it off.

* Equipping an open-ear Bluetooth headset with both a voice command mode and a sidetone mode is an industry first (based on our own research, as of August 2026).

THE PROBLEM

It’s the site
that changes your voice.

Shouting. Saying it twice. Hunting for a button. Taking out the earpiece.
Somewhere along the way, communication on site came to take “an unnatural state” for granted.

That is not a problem with the people who do the work. It is a problem with the communication equipment.
VEXA took this as the starting point of its design.

01

Your own voice is drowned out by the noise, and without realizing it you are shouting. Your throat goes hoarse, your tone turns harsh, and since you can’t tell whether you got through, you say the same thing twice.

02

To press the talk button, a gloved hand stops. A hand lets go of a tool. A hand steadying the person in front of you pulls away.

03

You take out your earpiece to answer the phone.
For those few seconds, you are completely cut off from the site.

OPEN-EARA design that leaves the ear canal open

No need to lose
the sound of the site.

An open design that leaves your ears uncovered. The sounds around you come straight through: your crew’s voices, approaching heavy machinery, alarms.
You can layer communication on top without shutting your ears off from what is happening on site.

Because it is held by ear hooks and a band behind the head, it is less likely to get in the way of helmets or masks, and your ears don’t get sweaty inside. Up to 15.5 hours of talk time, so you can keep it on all day long: that is why we chose this shape.

Two windscreens, medium and large, are included to deal with wind outdoors.

VEXA being worn. The ear canal is clearly left open

SIDETONEYour own voice comes back through the earpiece

No need to raise your voice.

When people can no longer hear their own voice, they raise it without realizing.
This is known as the Lombard effect. For a long time, communication in noisy workplaces has rested on this vicious circle.

Sidetone returns your own speaking voice to the earpiece. Because you are always aware of how loudly you are speaking, you never push your voice harder than needed, and you can keep the conversation going in your natural voice. Just say “Saidotōn ON” (Japanese for “sidetone on”) to switch it.

CLOSED EARPHONES The earphone plugs the ear canal Ambient noise Kept out Your own voice Sounds loud
OPEN-EAR The ear canal stays open Ambient noise Comes straight in Your own voice Buried in noise
Sidetone = your voice, back in your ear Ears open, and you always know how loud you are. So, no need to raise it.

In fact, the Lombard effect is strongest with open-ear designs. VEXA removes this structural weakness of open-ear headsets while remaining open-ear.

* VEXA is not hearing protection. In work environments with an equivalent continuous noise level of 85dB or higher, use separate hearing protection in accordance with the Guidelines for the Prevention of Noise Hazards issued by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

VOICE COMMANDOperate it just by speaking

No need to stop your hands.

Once you switch to voice command mode, muting the mic and adjusting the volume can both be done by voice alone.
Finding the device, touching it, pressing it: that whole sequence is no longer needed.

With gloves on. Up at height. Hands on the wheel. On some sites, the few seconds spent hunting for a button decide quality and safety.
Answering or declining an incoming call is also done entirely by voice.

No special way of speaking is needed.
Just say the usual words, in your usual voice.

UNTIL NOW Find Touch Press For those seconds, your hands and your work both stop. Say “Maiku ofu” and the mic is muted. Hands stay put. The work doesn’t stop.

* To switch between voice command mode and normal mode, press and hold the multifunction key and the “−” key together for 3 seconds.
A voice prompt plays when the mode switches.

* “Hai, demasu” and “Iie, demasen” work only when a phone call is coming in. On iPhone, you can respond after the second voice prompt. Operation on Android is not guaranteed.

* Voice prompts can be switched between Japanese and English.

MULTIPOINTConnects to two devices at once

No need to take it off.

The prime contractor calls. You take out your earpiece and hold your smartphone to your ear.
For those few seconds, you are cut off from the site.

VEXA supports connection to two devices at once (multipoint pairing). Register ALVO 1.9 and your smartphone, and it connects to both automatically as soon as you power it on. You can take an incoming call on the spot while staying connected with your crew.
No need to switch from one device to another.

Bluetooth Bluetooth ReaCom ALVO 1.9 Full-duplex site intercom Smartphone Contractor and client calls DECT 1.9GHz Site crew (up to 10 units) Two lines, one ear. No swapping devices, no swapping earpieces

VEXA connects to two devices at once via Bluetooth. ALVO 1.9 handles DECT communication on site, and VEXA brings its audio and your smartphone calls together in one ear.

* Multipoint connection can be switched ON/OFF.
The voice command for declining calls works only with single pairing.

FOR THE FIELD

Sites change.
Your voice doesn’t have to.

What “in your natural voice” means differs a little from site to site. But what VEXA takes away is the same on every site.

CONSTRUCTION / FACTORY

Even at 95dB, no shouting.

Take both site radio traffic and calls from the prime contractor without removing your earpiece. Operate it by voice alone with gloves on, and with IP55 dust and water resistance it can be used in dust and light rain.

CARE / FACILITY STAFF

Even on the night shift, no raised voices.

For work communication between staff at nursing-care and welfare facilities.
Operate communication even with both hands full, and get your message across without raising your volume during quiet hours.

SPORTS

Even in a roaring crowd, no yelling.

Give instructions in a calm voice. Operate it by voice alone without stopping play, and reach people outside without cutting off bench communication. IP55 gives peace of mind even when you sweat.

BUSINESS

Even in a shared office, no holding back.

Speak in your usual voice without worrying about the people around you.
Switch calls without taking your hands off your documents. About 60 minutes of charging gives up to 15.5 hours of talk time.

WITH ReaCom ALVO 1.9

Not “can talk,”
but “can converse.”

ReaCom ALVO 1.9 is an on-site communication system that makes “can converse” a reality through fully simultaneous talk. Because you can speak while the other person is still talking, you can correct on the spot and warn on the spot.

VEXA adds “in your natural voice.”
The system makes conversation possible; the headset keeps your voice natural. For sites already using ALVO 1.9, and for sites now considering it.
